AKM - AUTONOMOUS KEYCAP MAN
From concept to a cinematic horror movie shot, I designed the AKM, or also known as the Autonomous Keycap Man. I wanted to create a small miniature sized character that was influenced by different keyboard parts. Hence, I took reference from my own keyboard I used at home to model and texture this character. I also used photoshop to create some of the custom labels to mimic real life tech products.
FINAL CINEMATIC SHOT
Wanting to mimic the color grading and compositing of a old sci-fi film, with the anamorphic lens flares and lens reflections, hence using some motion capture from mixamo as a base, I refined and tweaked the animation to fit my shot needs. This shot was meant to show the AKM looking around in a eery abandoned hallway, for which he sees someone, or something, on his left, and runs away in a panic.
